Why do I have a really hard time writing about myself? My “About Me” page still says “coming soon”. Ok, what’s coming soon??? My self-discovery perhaps??
The thing is, I really don’t like talking about myself. Whenever I get that “Tell me about yourself” question, my mind just goes blank. It’s not that I don’t know myself, I just blank out.
Maybe I should take one of those self discovery quizzes or fill out the 20+ “get to know me” questionnaire that your friend forwards you on your email. I don’t know.
Does anyone else come across this problem? or is it just me?
If anyone else has any tips or advice that they can give me feel free to leave a comment. I’m open to any suggestions.

It’s not always easy to introspect. I can tell you from personal experience as a counselor that folks would do nearly anything to avoid introspection.
The interesting aspect of it all is that this avoidance is mostly unconscious…it’s not deliberate. Something deep within is scared to face the reality that it’s aware of. Your subconscious files everything that occurs in your life, your interpretations of those things and even the implications!
So when your conscious mind requests that information (introspection) the subconscious ‘mischievously’ withholds it!
It knows you might not be too happy with what you see and it doesnt want to face it…
I find your thoughts quite interesting. I’m doing a bit on it myself. My blog is about self discovery.

Thanks for your comment WD Favour. I actually found this book called “List Yourself. Listmaking as the way to Self-Discovery”. It’s a book that I bought back in 1999 and it just collected dust on my bookshelf. I think I’m finally going to use it.

I enjoy your posts. They are fresh. I tried to subscribe but It’s not doing the job. Have you thought of usind feedburner? it’s a great tool. It enables you publish your feeds on all the reading formats like google, yahoo, and the rest. It’s important for people who want to be updated daily on what you post, ( like me!!) I’m luvin ur site..lol
